Q

3 types of skeletal systems and examples

A
  1. Hydrostatic (soft-bodied animals, pressure of fluid) jellyfish
  2. Exoskeleton (outer layer, made of chitin) snail
  3. Endoskeleton (internal structures, bone/cartilage) human

Q

3 types of muscle

A
  1. Smooth muscle (digestive system)

Q

What is muscle fatigue?

A

Poisonous waste product (lactic acid) is made and causes pain and muscles stop working. Comes from muscle cells needing food from process of respiration

Q

3 main types of joint?

A
  1. Fixed/immoveable (bind skull together after birth)
  2. Slightly moveable (between ribs&breast bone allows chest to expand + contract during breathing)
  3. Moveable (hips+shoulders - ball&socket and elbows+knees- hinge)
