What issues might happen with the Lateral Barrel Holder?
They arms of the holder don’t match up. Plate can go beyond the barrel as it articulates down. Do not completely lower the barrel before the plate is lowered.
can a surgeon mix and match plate sizes?

How could an implant come unlocked during surgery?
Pin isn’t in the locked position, or when going to cut the rod the surgeon rocks the pin cutter back and forth and the pin/rod becomes unlocked.
What issues might the scrub have loading the Arch plate?
They might load them with the curve of the plate cephalad instead of caudal.
Not locking the rod to the barrel or plate properly.
Might try to load the locking plate first instead of the pivot plate. Always load the pivot plate first, then the locking plate.
The locking plate is always on the left side.
Does the scrub tech need to load the AP inserter in the caddie?
Yes, always.
When reading the distractor spindel, do you down size the implant ?
