What happened in the Spartacist Uprising?
A
- Armed takeover of Berlin
- Fierce street fighting
- 3000 Freikorps brought in to subdue the Communists
- 3 days later, Liebknecht and Luxemburg were captured and killed
- 100 Spartacists and 17 Freikorps dead

A
- Nationalist ex-soldiers
- Put together by the new government
- Had to disband after Versailles -> bitterness
