What is the APGAR score?
Appearance - pink = 2, blue/pink = 1, blue = 0
Pulse - >100bpm = 2, <100bpm = 1, Absent = 0
Grimace - cries = 2, grimace = 1, nothing = 0
Activity - active = 2, flexion = 1, nothing = 0
Resps - strong cry = 2, slow/irregular = 1, absent = 0
Done at 1min, 5 min and every 5 mins to 20 mins
How many weeks is preterm labour?
anything before 37 weeks
How many weeks is term labour?
37-42 weeks
How many weeks is post term labour?
anything after 42 weeks
What is the PAT?
Pediatric assessment triangle that looks at a childs appearance, circulation, and work of breathing to decide if they are immediately sick or not sick
What does TICLS stand for?
Tone, Irritability, Consolability, Look, Speech/Cry
What does GEMS stand for?
Geriatric Assessment, Environment, Medical HX, Social
What does DELIRIUMS stand for?
Drugs/toxins, Emotional/psychiatric, Low CO2, Infection, Retention of urine/stool, Ictal state, Undernutrition, Metabolism, Subdural Hematoma.
