Grammar during the Telegraphic stage
The Telegraphic stage is when children have acquired and start to use multiple-word utterances. At this stage, some of the children’s utterances are grammatically correct following the Subject + Verb + Object or Subject + Verb + Adjective or Subject + Verb + Adverbial)
Children in the post telegraphic stage are able to
- Converse effortlessly
- Understand and articulate complex language structures and tenses
- Use conditional tense, showing their understanding of possibility or uncertainty
- Understand abstract ideas as well as idioms
- Take part in conversations (even if it not about themselves)

The language assumes a shared understanding among the speaker. it is limited and generally uses limited lexical range and syntax construction, and is used among member s of a close-knit community such as a family
