Q

Campbell’s Law

A

The more quantitative of a social indicator is used for social decision-making, the more subject it will be to corruption pressures and the more apt it will be to distort and corrupt the social processes it is intended to monitor.
ie crime rates being reduced may not mean number of crime is reducing but may mean police force changing procedure to lower the number

Q

Action research ( 2 Types of it)

A

Participatory action: Involves the participant within the research ie ask students with wheelchairs to time themselves getting around their schools to improve disability friendly schools.
Practical action: Looks at how research is conducted and is designed to address and solve specific issues. ie tests scores are dropping in the last 10 years so teachers look at the changes in how they teach.
