Suit of Wands - Soul Flashcards
Ace of Wands
An invitation to check in with the body, our energy, and our “inner flame.” What are we at capacity to do and offer today? What is our plan for rest and self tending as we embark on this?
Two of Wands
Before we leap, we are called to take an inventory: do we have everything we need for the next phase of our lives? How can we realistically embark on this next step? Best to get all our ducks in a row.
Three of Wands
We’re not quite finished with the season of our lives that we’ve been in, and not quite in the next season of our lives. An important middle space. How can we tend to ourselves and rest in this cycle, knowing it is temporary?
Four of Wands
An important period of mandatory fun and play (however we define those things for ourselves). Whenever we receive this card, it’s important to put the heavy work down and go do something that delights us
Five of Wands
A period of medicinal messiness, one that we must move through in order to get to the other side, where clarity resides. How can we tend to ourselves when we experience frustration, anger, or contraction in response to a messy time like this?
Six of Wands
An invitation to deeply celebrate ourselves for who we all, what we’ve survived, and all that we’ve accomplished
Seven of Wands
A moment where we might feel vigilant, protective, worried about a what-if scenario. “Is this ok? Is this person trustworthy? Am I on the right track?” Sometimes, this vigilance is warranted. Other times, it’s a response from past pains and wounds. This card calls upon us to tend to ourselves in the face of this kind of internal experience, and truly consider whether we actually have anything to defend against at this time.
Eight of Wands
Something in process, in motion, already on its way. How can we keep a clear path in order to receive it?
Nine of Wands
A period of important rest, usually in the midst of a big, marathon-like situation or experience.
Ten of Wands
A powerful invitation to take a sweeping inventory of all of the commitments, tasks, and responsibilities that lay on our shoulders. What have we outgrown? What do we want to keep? What is more appropriate to outsource?
