Q
what are the methods to treat a decompensating phoria
A
1) refractive error
2) excerices0 seterograms useful when small phoria
3) prism - fresnel is best option to allow px to live with the prism to adapt to what is best - it will keep fluctuating and cost
4)BOTULINIUM toxin
5) surgery
6
Q
what is fresnel prism
A
- lens manufactured using concentric rings of variable angle prism
- the greater the number if rings- the better will be the resolving poor
- parallel bamds of constant angle prism are ways of producing very prowrful prisms with minimal thickness
