Q

what are some example in history that may suggest decompensated phobia

A
  • dip , gradual onset
  • HA
  • covering ine ey e
  • towards the end go the day
  • px reporting eyes tend to drift - suggesting - intermittent tropic stage

Q

what are the methods to treat a decompensating phoria

A

1) refractive error
2) excerices0 seterograms useful when small phoria
3) prism - fresnel is best option to allow px to live with the prism to adapt to what is best - it will keep fluctuating and cost

4)BOTULINIUM toxin
5) surgery

Q

what is fresnel prism

A
  • lens manufactured using concentric rings of variable angle prism
  • the greater the number if rings- the better will be the resolving poor
  • parallel bamds of constant angle prism are ways of producing very prowrful prisms with minimal thickness
