What are TCAs used for?
A
Used for depression and occassionally neuropathic pain.

What are the side effects of TCAs?
A
May cause sedation, dry mouth, constipation, dizziness, blurred vision

What are the counselling points of TCAs?
A
Symptoms such as dizziness, blurred vision, dry mouth may disappear in 7 days.
Try taking at night to reduce daytime drowsiness.
If you have dizziness, lay down and try getting up slowly from laying position.
Avoid driving or opperating heavy machinery until you know how you are affected by this medication.
Drugs may increase effects of alcohol.
Don’t stop taking medicine suddenly unless doctor tells you to.
