Teaching Yamas in class

  1. AHIMSA - teaching not to push self. Nonviolence noninjury to self.
  2. SATYA - Teach students to be honest where their body is at, work at their own level.
  3. ASTEYA - Teach students to work to their full capacity that is comfortable.
  4. BRACHMACHARYA - Teach students to use the minimum energy to achieve the maximum result. Not to use small muscles that large ones should be used for. Bring their minds into poses. (Breath, Yield, Radiate, Center, Support, Align, Engage)
    IN ALL POSES teach - to keep the lift of the pit of the abdomen - conserves life force. Dropping it splatters our life force. Pelvic energy can be channeled up to the heart (PF synergist to TA corset)
  5. APARIGRAHA - Teach students to do practice alone even in a large class. Keep gaze inward. Working in their own body, their own capacity.
