it contains the books of the prophets for example Jeremiah, Isaiah, Joshua, Judges, Jonah, kings, Samuel

A
books include Psalm, Proverbs, Song of songs and the book of Ruth

what is the importance of the tenakh
A
- it is the revealed word of God
- Jews believe that God reveals his wishes to his people
- the Torah is God’s law revealed to Moses on Mt Sinai
- the Torah is at the center of life and is also a central part of worship
- the tenakh is sometimes used to cover all the teachings and commentaries that give details of the law that Jews must follow
