Factor
A number’s divisors, i.e: the numbers that divide into it evenly with no remainder.
Prime number
Has exactly two different factors, itself and 1
Composite number
A whole number that can be divided evenly by numbers other than itself and 1.
Highest Common Factor (HCF)
The largest factor that divides two (or more) numbers.
Co-prime
Relatively prime, numbers with no common factors other than 1.
Multiple
Result of multiplying a number by an integer.
Lowest common multiple (LCM)
The smallest number (not zero) that is a multiple of both (or all of the) numbers.
Rational number (Q)
Numbers that can be expressed in the form a/b, where a,b are integers but b is not 0.
Irrational numbers R/Q
Real numbers that can not be expressed in the form a/b where a,b are integers but b is not 0.
