What does ‘World Order’ mean?
World order refers to the way in which global events are influenced by major actors in the world. World order implies a certain level of peace and stability
What is meant by actors in world order?
The actors include not only states but also international organisations such as the UN and the EU, international corporations, non-state actors such as dissident groups and other groups such as NGOs, the media
Explain the term ‘ new world order’
The tern was framed early 1990s in the wake of the optimism at the end of the cold war- many leaders hoped that the end of the cold war would mark the beginning of a new era in which states would act collectively to address global problems
