Q

Give 2 specific reasons to show Framlinghams decline in years 1572-1603?

A

In 1572, the forth duke was trying to get Mary into castle by marrying her and overthrowing Elizabeth. This is the turning point and where you see the powerful castle get lost and out of control.
Around 1600, there is evidence of continued royal usage of framlingham, although this time was limited due to 40 inmates in prison due to anti catholic laws hardened under Queen Elizabeth.
