Q

Jesus death on the cross was important because:

A

He saved us from our sins so that we can have eternal life. Before this, we were separated from God because of original sin (Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit) Jesus therefore bridged the gap between humanity and God.
We can relate to Jesus’ suffering as Jesus was not only fully God, but also fully human.
Even though Jesus was scared about what was going to happen to Him (he sweated blood in the Garden of Gethsemane) he still obeyed God’s will. The resurrection afterwards shows that Jesus was truly God as he was able to overcome Death.
