what does the Postmodernism theory state?
= idea that in postmodern culture the boundaries between the “real” world and the world of media have collapsed and that we are not able to distinguish between reality and simulation e.g due to the media

= idea that media images have come to seem more “real” than the reality they’re supposed to represent <— a hyper reality

= a understanding occurs when oppositions are placed next to each other (we know it’s day if it’s not night)
