What does the cerebrum do?
It is responsible for movement, intelligence, memory, language and vision.
What is the cerebellum responsible for?
It is responsible for muscle coordination and balance.
What does the medulla oblongata control?
It controls unconscious activities like breathing and your heart rate
What does a CT scan do?
Uses X-ray produce an image which shows the main structures of brain but doesn’t show the functions of them. It can be used to show disease or damage brain structure. The function of the brain can be worked out if the patient has lost some function.
What is a pet scan do?
Uses radioactive chemicals wishes which part of the brains are active. It provides a very detailed image. can used to investigate both destruction the function of the brain real time and can show if the area of the brain is unusually active or active which can be good for studying disorders that change the brain activity.
What are the problems of treating CNS?
It’s hard to repair damage to the nervous system as scientist haven’t developed a way to repair nervous tissue in the CNS. If problems occur in the nervous system It’s not easy to access and It can be hard to treat
Treatment for problems in a nervous system may lead to permanent damage.
