The 2 Mary’s and Salome wept as Jesus’s body was placed in the tomb. They rested on Saturday and returned to the tomb on Sunday with spices.

Pharisees & chief priests remembered that Jesus prophesied resurrection of the third day. They asked Pilate to seal the tomb and set guards at entrance to prevent His disciples from stealing the body.
