O= pubis (near symphysis)
I= linea aspera
A= adducts, flex and medially rotates hip
Gracillis
O=inferior pubic ramus, body of pubis
I= medial surface of Tib
A= adducts, medially rotates, flex knee
Tensor fascia latae
O= ASIS, iliac crest
I= ITB
A= flex, abducts and medially rotate hip
Pectineus
O= superior pubic ramus
I= linea aspera
A= adducts, flex, medially rotates hip
Vastus intermedius
O= shaft of femur
I= pattella and tibial tuberosity
A= extend knee
Vastus medialis
O= linea aspera and intertrochanteric line
I= patella and tibial tuberosity
A= extend knee, stabilise patella
Vastus lateralis
O= greater trochanter, intertrochanteric line and linea aspera
I= patella and tibial tuberosity
A= extend knee, stabilise knee
Rectus femoris
O= ASIS
I= patella and tibial tuberosity
A= extend knee, flex hip
Sartorius
O= ASIS
I= Medial tibia
A= flex and lat rotates hip, flex knee
Illiopsoas
O= iliac fossa, alla of sacrum and TP of T12-L5
I= lesser trochanter of femur
A= flex hip and vertebral column
Biceps femoris
O= long head= ishial tuberosity
= short head= linea aspera
I= head of fib, lat condyle of Tib
A= extend and Lat rotate hip, flex knee
Quadratus femoris
O= ishial tuberosity
I= intertrochanteric crest
A= lat rotates and stabilise hip
Piriformis
O= Lat surface of sacrum
I= greater trochanter
A= lat rotates in hip extension
