Inflammation of the kidney primarily involving the glomeruli. Acute – occurs after an infection elsewhere in the body Chronic – varies in cause and leads to renal failure
Glomerulonephritis
Collection of urine in the renal pelvis caused by obstruction
Hydronephrosis
Presence of blood in the urine
Hematuria
presence of pus in the urine; a sign of urinary tract infection
Pyuria
inflammation of a kidney, usually due to infection
Nephritis
disorder characterized by the presence of stones in the kidney
