What do you do after gloves are on?

A

Look at urine for:

  • colour
  • clarity (is it cloudy or clear)
  • does it have an odour

Make sure you place the lid top down to maintain hygiene of work surface

How do we dip the strip?

A
  • Open and remove a strip WITHOUT touching the regent pads - recap bottle immediately
  • Dip briefly and immerse fully
  • Run urine strip along the edge to get rid of excess
  • Note the time/start timer

Once time is noted, what do you do?

A

Hold strip against the regent bottle, compare the results as time progresses (the bottle should have ā€œ30sā€ or something like that next to the result telling you how long you wait for)
