Additive manufacturing

embedded system
a computer system with a dedicated function within a larger mechanical or electrical system, often with real-time computing constraints. It is embedded as part of a complete device often including hardware and mechanical parts. Embedded systems control many devices in common use today.
Data lake
a storage repository that holds a vast amount of raw data in its native format until it is needed.
smart grid
an electrical grid which includes a variety of operational and energy measures including smart meters, smart appliances, renewable energy resources, and energy efficiency resources.
Meter data management (MDM)
refers to a key component in the Smart Grid infrastructure that is in the process of being evolved and adopted by utility companies. An MDM system performs long term data storage and management for the vast quantities of data delivered by smart metering systems.
Product lifecycle management (PLM)
In industry, product lifecycle management (PLM) is the process of managing the entire lifecycle of a product from inception, through engineering design and manufacture, to service and disposal of manufactured products
Manufacturing execution systems (MES)
computerized systems used in manufacturing, to track and document the transformation of raw materials to finished goods.
