Why EMBA
The summer of 2017 was a critical turning point for me. I was about to complete 7 years at Mashreq Bank, had completed another successful year, my reporting line was changed to directly reporting the division manager which implicitly implied that i would be next in line to being promoted. I had also completed a company supported 10 month leadership program at Columbia Business School. I had begun to ask myself the familiar question “What do i do with my life.” I loved my job, i worked with inspiring, intelligent people on large ticket deals. The job also afforded me time to spend with my family and friends. What else could i want.
Eventually i came to a conclusion that what defines me was my intellectual curiosity. I decided that my journey would take me down a path of thought leadership - driving change to improve product, people and processes. In Sept 2017, after carefuel introspection, i decided to leave the job i greatly enjoyed to earn my EMBA and improve my abilities, gain access to key resources and accelerate my career going forward. My decision to choose the TRIUM program came down to 10 reasons.
