base lines/ end lines
marks the end of the court and indicates where players must stand behind when serving.

marks where players can attack the ball o offense

directly in the middle of the court below the net

divides the court in half that the opposing players must not cross (in doing so, it will cause a penalty)

where players stand each serve.

just behind the baseline (crossing this will also cause penalty)

player who sets the ball for another player to hit.
setter
often the primary playmakers, responsible for directing offense.

responsible for hitting the ball on the second or third hit of the volleyball.
outside hitter
they are aggressive hitters, who attack the ball from the outside position.

must be strong and explosive with a good vertical jump.
