A

There can be multiple storms at once so this prevents confusion when talking about a particular storm.

How do people prepare for a hurricane? (mention what they need to have and what to do to their house, and what they are told to do if there is a very bad storm.)

A

Make sure your family has a disaster plan, a disaster supply kit, medical supplies, lots of water, food, flashlights, a battery-powered radio and batteries.
Put shutters or plywood on the windows, prune nearby trees and put loose yard equipment inside.
If it’s a very bad storm then you’ll have to evacuate.
