Incarnation
The operation by which God elevated to Himself a determinate human nature formed in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in order to make it subsist in the Second Person of the Trinity.
Hypostatic Union
The union whereby a human nature is immediately joined to a Divine Person and receives the existence and subsistence proper to Him.
