A

A

Men and women were allowed to vote at the age of 20

What did the chancellor have to get in order to obtain the title?

A

The Chancellor had to have the most support of the Reichstag. The Chancellor was the head of the government, and the Reichstag was the people’s Parliament. The President could choose his Chancellor.

What type of representation did Germany have?

A

Germany had proportional representation. This meant that the number of seats each party had in the Reichstag reflected off the number of votes they received during the election.

What was Article 48?

A

This gave the President to suspend the Constitution in an act of emergency, and be able to create laws without the support of the Reichstag.
