What things do Christians do?
The live out God’s message, they read the Bible, go to church and pray.
What is a denomination?
Different branches of the Christian faith.
Who is God?
God created the whole universe and humanity for a reason. He revealed to us through the Holy Trinity. There is one God, but in three parts.He lives through us.
What is life after death?
death is the beginning of our life with God in heaven. God judges sin, but Jesus takes that judgement for us.
What are beginnings?
Jesus was the founder of Christianity. He was a jew. Christianity began with the death and resurrection of Jesus.
What are christian festivals?
Christmas is the biggest. It celebrates the birth of Jesus. On easter, Jesus died and was crucified and then rose again 3 Days later.
What are Rites of Passage?
There are two kinds of baptism. baptism represents new life., washing away of sin. babies are sprinkled with water, but adults are fully immersed.
What is Scripture?
the sacred writings of Christianity found in the Bible.
What is the new testament?
The stories of Jesus, his teaching, and the letters from the apostles and Paul.
What is the Old Testament?
The old testament are writings of the prophets like Isiah, the Torah ( law ) and other books which foretell important events in the Bible. There are also psalms and the book of deuteromony
The Torah: describe.
The torah is the book of law. It is the Holy Book of the jews.
Define Magisterium.
The magisterium is how the pope and bishops interpret the bible for catholics today. They are guided by the Holy Spirit. It is made up of the pope and cardinals and they come together in the Vatican to talk about key issues and write documents like Vatican II.
