A

Asking people for money is a way of allowing them to reconnect with the university and what it stands for. To let them say Rock Chalk in actions and not just words. It means letting them having a hand in building the future.

I love my job, but I know I can do more. I feel like I am working at about half capacity right now.

What do you know about KUE?

A

Independent fundraising foundation for the University of Kansas, KU Endowment partners with donors in providing philanthropic support to build a greater KU.

Established in 1891, it is the first foundation for a public university and has been called “the fundamental prototype for more than 1,000 college and university foundations throughout the United States.”*

Dedicated to doing the work with the highest standards of service and ethical conduct when it comes to managing donors’ giftsl

Allocates 100% of the principal of every gift for the purpose designated by the donor.

Works closely with the Alumni Association, but separate.

Made up of more than 200 people, including more than 170 staff members and volunteer leaders who serve on boards

Currently 1.6 billion through a 2.5 billion dollar campaign called Ever Onward.
