A

errors in specimen collection

non-fasted patient - lipemia
in vitro hemolysis - traumatic sample collection , improper sample handling, extreme temperatures or delayed processes
clotted - traumatic or slow collection or improper mixing with coagulant
insufficient sample volume - short sample - wrong proportion of anticoagulant to sample
delayed processing - morphologic changes
