lab tech’s that handle samples maybe at risk
3/ prolonged febrile illness
4/ steoarticular disease, neurobrucellosis or endocarditis

1/ gram negative bacterium Coxiella burnetii
2/ Reservoirs → goats, sheep, cattle
Transmitted by airborne dust contaminated with tissue, birth fluids or excretions from infected animals

3/ Presentation is variable
Asymptomatic 50-60% 
Flu like illness
4/ Pneumonia, Osteomyelitis, meningitis or encephalitis
Complication → Endocarditis
