A

“Such as A, B…”. To say there are many other examples (etc). Afterwards the category is said (animals, food, places…). Can use ,, や, とか between examples.

名 + といった + 名

Can use verb instead of noun if its a list of needs/uses.

とは

A

“A means X”. To describe a meaning, characteristics or content. とは is a short version of というのは.

といえば

A

“Speaking of A”, X.” Adds something about a topic.

取り上げる言葉 + といえば

“It is A, but also B”. Picks up other person words and adds opposite points.

A

“As”. Do something or be in a certain state as qualification, role or pretext. Followed by verbs of action/state.

A

“Assuming A is the case, B will happen”. Used for hypothetical matters.
