Main Condenser
CONDENSES THE EXHAUST STEAM from turbine and increases turbine efficiency by LOWERING THE BACK PRESSURE
Make-Up Valve
Automatically MAINTAINS A MINIMUM WATER LEVEL in the main condenser hotwell, BY ADDING WATER WHEN THE LEVEL IS TOO LOW.
Dump Valve
Automatically MAINTAINS A MAXIMUMUM WATER LEVEL in the main condenser hotwell BY DRAINING WATER WHEN THE LEVEL IS TOO HIGH
Condensate Pumps
REMOVES THE ACCUMULATED CONDENSATE from the main condenser hotwell and DISCHARGES IT TO HRSG LP DRUM
Gland Steam Condenser
Provides a low pressure area for turbine gland leak-off steam to exhaust into and TRANSFERS THE HEAT FROM THE LEAK-OFF STEAM TO THE CONDENSATE
Steam Jet Air Ejectors
REMOVE AIR AND NON-CONDENSABLE GASES from the main condenser and DISCHARGE THEM TO THE ATMOSPHERE
Inter/After Condenser
Provides a low pressure area for the steam jet air ejectors to exhaust into and TRANSFERS THE HEAT FROM THE EXHAUST SYSTEM TO THE CONDENSATE
Preheater Recirculation Pumps
PREVENTS COLD END CORROSION in the HRSG by MAINTAINING FEEDWATER TEMPERATURE ABOVE THE EXHAUST GAS DEW POINT TEMPERATURE
Boiler Feedwater Pump
Takes heated condensate from the HRSG LP drum and discharges it to the HP and IP steam drums as feedwater; Also supplies water for the HP and HRH steam desuperheaters
HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator)
Uses the exhaust gas from the Combustion Turbine to turn feedwater into steam for use in the steam turbine
Steam Bypass Valves
Provide the necessary steam flow circuits to warm the HRSG and steam piping during start-ups, and protect equipment from high pressures during unusual operating conditions.
Gas Combustion Turbine
Converts the chemical energy of the fuel into rotational mechanical energy
Steam Turbine
Converts the thermal energy of steam into rotating mechanical energy
Generator
Converts the rotating mechanical energy of a turbine into electrical energy
HP and HRH Steam Desuperheaters
Reduces the temperature of HP and HRH steam to maintain a superheater outlet temperature of 1045 F.
