Q

List 3 reasons why a graph can be misleading:

A

(any from the following):
- Scales that do not start at zero, or have parts of them missed out, giving a misleading impression of the heights of the bars, etc.
- Slaces that do not increase uniformly distort the shape of anything plotted on them
- thick lines on the graph that make it difficult to read information
- Axes without labels prevent you from knowoing what the data represents
- graphs and charts without keys make it may be impossible to imterpret
- colours may make some parts of a graph/chart stand out more than others
