Act
A major division of a play. A play may be subdivided into many acts.
Alliteration
The repetition of constant sounds, most often found at the beginning of words and syllables.
Allusion
A reference in a work of literature to a well known character, please, or situations in history from another work of literature, music, or art.
Antagonist
A person or force that opposes the protagonist in fiction
Anthropomorphism
Giving human characteristics to an animal or object
Assonance
The repetition of vowel sounds especially in a line of poetry

The repetition of identical or similar end or intermediate consonant sounds

Two successive lines of verse that form a unit and usually rhyme.
Description
Writing that creates an impression of a setting, a person, an animal, an object, or an event by appealing to one of the 5 senses.
Dialect
A variation of language spoken by a particular group or by many people within a geographical region
