How do you lift a small or medium sized dog?

Place one arm around the front of the chest and the other arm around the rump. Lift and pull the dog into your chest, then place the dog on the examination table. Always keep the dogs head secure and away from your face.

In crouched position, the front persons arms encircle the the forequarters and the rear persons arms encircle the hindquarters. Always lift with your legs never from your back.
