A

endoscope inserted through the uterine cervix to inspect the uterine cavity-> gold standard for abnormal uterine bleeding, preformed in theatre under general anasthetic

used to identify:

  • endometrial polyps
  • submucosal fibroids
  • endometrial carcinoma

- insert plastic tube transcervically, removing the tube will suck a sample of the endometrium using negative pressure
