as society became more modern, people could hide behind a screen to commit crime using the internet e.g. revenge porn, identity fraud

Voyeurism Act 2019 - up skirting made illegal
Both result in up to 2 years in prison

A

means that people who are victims of cybercrime can now charge the offender, to ensure they don’t do it again as cybercrime can have a big impact on someone’s life

Race Relations Act 1965 - illegal to discriminate due to race in public places
Race Relations Act 1968 - made it illegal to discriminate races from housing or employment
MacPherson report 1999 [ found institutional racism within the police led to introduction of more BAME officers

A

society has become safer for homosexual people
must remember that not every society is like this and even though laws have changed people still have old fashioned views
