Q

Cardiac cycle

A
1. Atria receives blood from from veins
SA node sends electrical signal
SA node found in the wall of right atrium near superior vena cava
Atria contracts(systole)
blood flows in ventricle

2 Av node receives signal from SA node
AV nodes sends signal throughout nerves in cardiac muscle
AV node found at the bottom of right atrium near the septum
Ventricle systole
Tricuspid and Bicuspid valves close and semi-lunar valves open
blood pumped into pulmonary artery and aorta.

Q

Artery

A

Carries blood away from heart using powerful pulses
carry oxygenated blood apart from pulmonary artery
Elastic walls due to pulse pressure
