What are the SIRS criteria?
A
Should have 2 or more to meet criteria for sepsis (in setting of suspected infectious etiology):
Temp <36 or >38*C
HR>90
RR>20
WBC<4 or >12 or >10% bands

What are the qSOFA criteria?
A
Meet 2+ of the following to be considered high risk for mortality 2ndary sepsis:
RR>/22
AMS
sBP 100 mmHg
If criteria are positive, strongly consider infection even if previously not considered.
(identifies high-risk patients for in-hospital mortality with suspected infection outside the ICU)
