- Contains codes of positive and negative guidelines (613 Mitzvot) e.g. 10 commandments

what is Talmud

A
  • Moses passed on to prophets>Rabbis>Talmud
  • Used to interpret Torah and Rabbinic law for issues not coved in torah
  • These rules are interpreted by modern jews to resolve issues

A

A) Man is created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27)
B) Jews are in a covenant with God (Genesis 15:18)
C) Torah is gods gift to people and communicates his will (exodus 31:18)
