  • insufficient sleep syndrome (shift work, circadian sleep/wake)
  • adjustment sleep disorder (acute emotional stress)
  • psychophysiologic insomnia (anticipatory anxiety)
  • narcolepsy (cataplexy, hypnagogic hallucinations, sleep paralysis)
