A
  • naive T cell are programmed in the thymus for a particular antigen
  • once released they circulate until they find this surface antigen via APCs
  • T cells become activated once they bind to their APC which the correct MHC molecule
  • the MHC-antigen complex activates the TCR and enables T cell to secrete cytokines
