Acute angle glaucoma pathophysiology
A
Caused due to an increase in ocular pressure due to poor outflow of vitreous humour through the trabecular mesh. Increase in pressure causes damage to the ocular nerve.

Red eye Hazy cornea Decreased in visual acuity Teary eye Pupil dilated and fixed Firm and hard on palpation

Lie on back Pilocarpine eye drops Acetazolamide 500mg orally Analgesia Antiemetic Timolol Definitive treatment by laser iridotomy
