- Minimal risk

- May or may not be related to surgery
- E.g. Neonate/geriatric, obesity

- Clinical pathological changes are seen
- E.g. Anaemia, renal/liver/heart disease

- Severe Systemic Disease (Constant Life Threat)

- Surgical intervention may be necessary
- E.g. Gastric dilation, pneumothorax

- Moribund Patient (Unlikely to Survive 24h With/Without Surgery)
A
- May/may not survive with surgical intervention
- GDV, gastric rupture

- Added to ASA 1 to 5 if patients presents in an emergency setting
