A
- recycle and conserve fluids and plasma proteins
- part of immune system pathway
- absorbs lipids from the intestinal tract

A
- HEENT: neck lymph nodes, tonsils
- Trunk: spleen, peyer’s patches
- Extremities: inguinal nodes, popliteal nodes, epitrochlear

What are some of the conditions that we should assess when gathering a history
A
- swollen glands: number and location
- flu like symptoms: fatigue, malaise, fever, anorexia, sweats, achy, itchy

What are some worrisome findings during a lymphatic physical assessment
A
immobile/fixed, prolonged swelling over 1.5 cm, widespread adenopathy, multiple positive history points
