Accumulated fluids and tissue

A
White/grey shadow
No loss of volume

What are the signs of consolidation during auscultation?
A
Increased breath sounds/ bronchial breathing/ decreased breath sounds
With/ without crackles/ wheezes
Dependant on stage of consolidation

What are the main causes of consolidation?
A
Pneumonia
Chest infection
Lung contusion following trauma
