Paralytic – loss of reflexes, severe muscle weakness and pain, flaccid paralysis

Symptoms= Rash – blisters that form scabs, fever, loss of appetite, headache, fatigue
Virus may lie dormant in dorsal root ganglion then reactivate years later to cause shingles – painful rash in dermatome supplied by nerve affected, headache, malaise
Virus- Varicella zoster virus
Transmission- Airborne, bodily fluid
