A

Puts toward the idea that no crisis because high engagement in other aspects: pressure groups, petitions holding to account but might not need to if they actually vote, and make sure they are legitimate bc lack of legitimacy means parties can’t claim mandate with little support.

Power given to other uk countries make laws on devolved matter mean some increase but overall it is more key for participation in elections clear only bc strong views low recent election lack legitimacy and accountability not be a quick fix but long term damage to participation and democracy.
