A
Forms only at night over land. Radiational cooling of earth

A
Fog in motion - transported by wind. Common along coast. Can persist for days

Upslope fog
A
Caused by adiabatic cooling as warm moist air is forced upwards

Frontal fog
A
Associated with front and evaporation of falling rain. Warm frontal or stationary fog has biggest aviation impact

Freezing fog
A
Forms when temps are below freezing. Also, ice fog, but that is for even colder conditions
